ROi Announces Integrated Sourcing Solutions Organization

ROi (Resource Optimization & Innovation) has announced a realigned structure to help customers collaborate more efficiently and effectively with the recognized healthcare supply chain industry leader.

ROi has merged its Performance Consulting (product selection and utilization) and Group Purchasing (product contracting) to form the Integrated Sourcing Solutions (ISS) organization.

"The Integrated Sourcing Solutions team will provide customers better access and collaboration opportunities, helping them take full advantage of our integrated supply chain model to lower cost and improve the quality of patient care," said Gene Kirtser, Chief Operating Officer who leads the new ISS team. "In our industry, selection, contracting and utilization of products are often disconnected and not strategically aligned. We believe the alignment of these responsibilities is core to ensure only products and services that provide documented clinical, operational and financial outcomes are consumed."

The ISS realignment is in sync with ROi's overall goal to collaborate with like-minded healthcare providers and progressive suppliers to leverage "best in class" supply chain logistics and processes that improve quality of care and lower costs. The ISS team's objective is to work with channel partners, members and ROi's other operating functions to harvest maximum value from all aspects of the supply chain.

"Healthcare providers face unprecedented pressure to improve quality and reduce costs, " explained Vance Moore, President and CEO of ROi. "The traditional supply chain model is disconnected in so many places. When truly valued, it can account for upwards of thirty percent of the healthcare system's cost and is growing at a rate that is unsustainable. Reform is needed and the best way to address the needs is through an integrated and transparent collaborative with all necessary channel partners to make the very best decision possible. Our realigned model is built to facilitate accountable decision making by those closest to the point of care."
