Integrated Sourcing Solutions

Award

ROi's Integrated Sourcing Solutions (ISS) delivers value at two key decision points: "When We Choose" and "When We Use" products and services.

The ISS team works collaboratively with our health care partners to manage the selection, contracting and utilization of products and services for patient care. Our expert Contracting Team (Group Purchasing Organization) and Utilization Team coordinate strategic interactions to ensure the best price for quality products. By leveraging ROi's integrated business model, which includes centralized distribution and transportation, ROi drives efficiency, compliance and standardization for supplier partners, while also delivering documented clinical, operational and financial improvements for health care providers.

The ISS team is also responsible for sourcing Regard ™, ROi's private label brand of supplies. ROi works with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) around the globe to manufacture high quality Regard™ products that are designed by end users and sourced at a lower cost than branded counterparts.

Contracting

ROi's Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) owns the decision point of "When We Choose" products and services. The GPO manages a broad and comprehensive contract portfolio with one of the highest levels of contract compliance of any GPO in the nation.

ROi's contracting philosophy is simply to provide our members with the best products, at the best price, from channel partners who provide the best service. Through our collaborative process, physicians, clinicians, hospital leaders and other purchasing decision-makers are united to provide input on the selection of products to achieve the highest quality at the best price. The GPO combines its industry expertise, unique operational capabilities, and member purchasing volume to deliver lower prices for products and services while capturing revenues traditionally earned by commercial GPOs. We carefully develop strategically aligned contractual relationships with suppliers who recognize the value of ROi's business model and are interested in collaborating with us on innovative solutions.

ROi's GPO is the nation's 7th largest non-government GPO and widely considered as one of the most compliant and effective in the nation.

Product Standardization & Utilization Management Programs

ROi's Utilization Team owns the decision point of "When We Use" products and services, representing an aggregation of clinical, operational and analytical expertise. The combined efforts of the GPO and Utilization Team assure integration and end user buy-in before and after product sourcing. This process results in reduced variation, which ultimately yields improved care at a lower cost.

The team leads significant system-wide product standardization and utilization initiatives that cross boundaries of patient care and operations; it strives to bring both accountability and sustainability to organizational change through a clinically aligned decision making process. Through this process, we ensure that end users experience the best possible clinical, operational and financial outcomes associated with the products they prefer to purchase and use - at the lowest negotiated cost.

Once we have implemented a contract, our Utilization Team works with end users to manage compliance via a formalized adoption process, continuous monitoring and reporting. The ROi model achieves a high compliance rate because we actively engage all supply chain stakeholders in product selection, and we leverage ROi's integrated business model to drive clinical, operational and financial benefits.
